So excited! I received the "Best in Show" award at the 7th Annual National Juried Show of the Pastel Society of New Hampshire. Stan Sperlak was the Juror of Awards. Marla Baggetta was the Juror of Selection. I feel honored and grateful to have one of my paintings recognized by these two fabulous artists. The show runs through Nov. 28 at the Discover Portsmouth Center.

"Mini-Series"

The painting challenge for September is over but I found that I was having fun painting mini-series of favorite places. I painted three views from a bridge that spans Pratts Brook in Yarmouth, Maine. Here is one example with the others posted in my Etsy Shop. They are all 5" x 7" acrylics.

Painting Challenge continues...

The painting challenge continues. I've done three paintings all inspired by the buildings next to the Lobster Shack  restaurant in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Here is the one called, "Rocks at Two lights". All of them are in my Etsy Shop called Diana Johnson Fine Art.
They are all 5 x 7' acrylic paintings.

Paint Out at Sandy Beach

I got out to paint at Sandy Beach in Yarmouth yesterday. I timed it so I could be there at low tide to enjoy painting the marsh grasses. This is one of my favorite places to paint.
